Accreditation
is not mandatory in Europe Community at all areas but it is mandatory in some area. The most important element is customer and market
requirements. Ministers who are the situation of customer, want accreditation for evaluation of confirming organization assignment. Also
international Olympiad committee wants accreditation for doping laboratory. Food laboratories are accredited. We think that accreditation
will be in all laboratories as mandatory in the future .Is there difference between ISO 9001 and accreditation ?
Laboratory accreditation aim is to get correct and confidence results of test, analysis or calibration. ISO 9001 is used widely evaluation
of quality management system of production and services. If organization is certificated according to ISO 9001 system, this means that
quality management system is suitable to this standard. When laboratories are certificated according to ISO 9001, this does not inform
anything about technique sufficiency of laboratory. Therefore taken certificate does not cajole laboratory customers and market .
Which criterias are needed for accreditation ? How are they determined?
For occurring of accreditation criteria's, we need to get impartially national accreditation foundation. Turkish Accreditation foundation
(TURKAK) was established for this aim in our country. Accreditation foundation does not have have different system as structure and administrative
in the world. Structure of national accreditation system should not be different exception of existing international criteria's. If it
is consisted with different criteria's, maybe accreditation system is not recognized by international.
Consequently accreditation authority should be impartially and attendances , go on financing power and service criteria's should be
occurred suitable to international standards. Our organization which think these subjects , occurred quality management system according
to ISO/IEC 17011 standard which will be worked in nearly future and determines requirements of accreditation organization.
